Students will have an opportunity to visit the book fair during the school day, usually during their regular library time. They will be given a Wish List sheet, which they can fill with the names of books they would like. Volunteers will be available for students in kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade if they need assistance in writing the book titles. Students then take the Wish Lists home.

Classroom teachers may create a Class Wish List, a list of books the teachers would like for their homerooms. These class lists will be posted in the library and online. Parents, friends, family or students can purchase these books as a donation to the class.

Consider donating a dollar or some loose change to buy books for the school library. There will be a collection box at the checkout counter for donations. The money collected will be used to add books to the school library. Your donation will also help twice. Scholastic Books will make a matching donation for needy children through two foundations: Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc. and the Kids in Need Foundation.

Online Book Fair

This year we are able to offer an online component to the book fair, which will run from November 24th to December 8th. The online site will allow students additional time to browse through the selections. It also allows friends and family who cannot attend the book fair at the school an opportunity to purchase books for students or classrooms. Any books purchased online will be sent directly to the school with no additional shipping charge.Click on the logo below to go to the book fair webpage.

To Browse & Shop

  1. From the book fair webpage, click on the SHOP NOW button.
  2. Create an account for your family by clicking on the My Account link in the top right hand corner and following the instructions.
  3. Create a wish list by clicking on the Wish List icon at the top of the page. A family account can have several different wish lists, either for different children or for different events (i.e. Birthday, Christmas, summer.)
  4. To add books to a wish list, click on the title. On each book page there is an Add to WISH LIST button. Just click on the button
  5. You can e-mail wish lists to friends and family. Click on My Wish List at the top of the home page. The wish list page shows all the items chosen and at the bottom is a SEND YOUR WISH LIST button. Simply click on the button, fill in the email addresses, and hit 'Send.' Books that are purchased from a wish list will show up as 'Ordered.'
  6. Browse through titles, including by age or class. Note that not all teachers will make an online class list, but those will be available at the school book fair.
Students, friends & family can purchase books in two ways. First, they may purchase them through the online website. Second, they may purchase them in the library at the school. See the schedule for the times when books are available for purchase.

Scholastic offers and app for the iPhone or Android smartphone. Scan a book cover or a barcode and the app will give you the reading and age level, a book summary, and other recommended books. You or your child can use the app to add books to wish lists. On Android phones it can also be used to purchase eBooks. To download the app, click on the book icon.

On Wednesday evening, the Book Fair will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. in the library. The movie Frozen will be showing in the SPARK lab. Children are welcome to watch the movie while parents and family shop.

You can see from the schedule that there are many times throughout the week where we need volunteers to assist with the book fair. Please go to the SignUp page if you can donate some of your time to making the book fair a great success this year.
